As per the DTCM (Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing), a holiday home is any furnished mainland or freezone-located residential property, including apartments, villas or townhouses, that is rented out on a short-term basis to tourists and visitors for accommodation purposes.

Can hotels or hotel apartment units be classified as holiday homes?

No, hotels and hotel apartments are classified differently. Only units designated as RESIDENTIAL can obtain a license as a holiday home.

Is there a cleaning fee for each stay?

Yes, there is a cleaning fee applied upon your departure to cover housekeeping costs.

Am I able to book my own property for accommodation?
Yes, there’s no limit on the number of days you can book, and you can make bookings through the owner portal.
